


Izumo, encounters, Kararako.
In October of the lunar calendar, eight million gods from all over Japan in Izumo for an annual Shinto ritual. We named this hotel Kararako (神等楽来, “welcoming gods”), with the desire to welcome guests who visit this area, just as we would welcome the gods who travel all the way to Izumo.
The open spaces and guest rooms are made with natural materials, and works of art on display express a pure and playful spirit.
And we serve dishes that allow you to enjoy the natural features of the San’in region and Izumo, which can only be tasted here.

Come and enjoy a quiet morning at Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine, farm from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can feel the season as you walk along the long road to the shrine. Go a little farther and you will find the scenery of Inasa Beach, which is known from the “transfer of the land” myth in Japanese prehistory, and is certain to be a highlight of your trip.
